Engagement with the Solomon Islands began on Thursday 14th October,2021 when our CEO/Founder Mr Ahmed Shak Ahmed, paid a courtesy visit to Solomon Islands Commissioner General to the Expo 2020 Dubai, His Excellency Moses Kouni Mose.
The visit was also an opportune time for Mr Ahmed as a UAE national and business entrepreneur, to establish initial discussions with H.E Mose and to seek possible business opportunities between Pacific Group of Companies UAE and the Solomon Islands.
With the United Arab Emirates globally perceived as a thriving nation for expats, driven by tax-free income, booming industries and foreign investment, Mr Ahmed explained the enormous opportunities and benefits that Small Island Developing Sites (SIDS) would have if more workers could be recruited into the various employment sectors available in the Seven Emirates of the UAE.
Mr Ahmed added that “The Pacific Islands was a well-known haven for its natural, talented and a well-educated Society and that it was his personal desire to continue to trend of employing more workers from the Pacific to enjoy the many opportunities provided for in the UAE”.
CG Mose in acknowledging the visit by Mr Ahmed also provided some sound advice on what Pacific Group of Companies will need to do to help the business establish its intended business relations with the Solomon

In welcoming Mr. Ahmed, DCG Marita said that the presence of the Solomon Islands at the Expo 2020 Dubai was the ideal platform to help introduce the various products and services that his country could offer especially to the international community and especially at a large gathering as such where the prospects of new Trade and Economic Development relations are established.
